In an effort to provide a safe and comfortable environment for students, their families and staff, move-in for fall 2021 will be scheduled over the course of 6 days. Move-in appointments for residential students will be available between Saturday, August 21 and Wednesday, August 25. Students will be able to sign-up for a 3 hour appointment to pick-up their room key, unload their belongings into their room and return home. No students will be permitted to remain on-campus during this time period. Check-in will take place in the Brower Student Center for students to pick-up their room keys.
There will be limited appointments available on both Thursday, August 26th for First Year students and Sunday, August 29 for returning students. Students with a move-in appointment on those days will have a 3 hour window to pick-up their keys, move-in and begin residing on-campus. Students will check-in at a designated location for their building. Priority will be given to those students who live more than 100 miles away from campus. First year and transfer students who move in between August 21 and August 25 will be permitted to return to campus after 2pm on Thursday August 26, 2021 to partake in Welcome Week event. Returning students who moved in between August 21 and August 25 will be permitted to return to campus after 2pm on Sunday, August 29, 2021. Classes are scheduled to start on Tuesday, August 31.

Move In Time Slot Selection
Students will be able to select a time slot based on the building they are assigned by accessing “Move In Appointments” directly through My Housing. In order to best manage traffic and minimize the chance of the site crashing, each building/complex will have a designated window of time to sign up for a move-in appointment on Wednesday, July 14, 2021. Please be sure not to login to My Housing outside of your designated time frame as you will not be able to sign up for a move-in appointment and it will impede those who should be signing up. If you miss the designated window for your building, move-in appointments will reopen to everyone at 5:30pm on Wednesday, July 14, 2021.
Students coming from more than 100 miles away will be provided with priority for move in times and may login on Tuesday, July 13 at 3pm to select their move in appointment.
Please note that students approved to move in prior to August 21, such as certain fall athletes and staff members for Residential Education and Housing, will not need to select a move in appointment.
Meal plans will begin with dinner on Sunday, August 29, 2021. Students who do not select a meal plan by Wednesday, July 14 will automatically be assigned to the 15 Meals per Week Plan. After the fall bills go out, you will have one additional opportunity to request a meal plan change. The meal plan change form will be available on the housing homepage (housing.tcnj.edu) through Wednesday, September 1, 2021.
