Locked Yourself Out?
If you locked yourself out during the hours of 10am-12am, you can go to the Key’Osk and they will issue your a spare key. You have 24 hours to return the spare key back to the Key’Osk or you may be charged for a lock change.
If it is after 12am, you may contact your residence building’s CA on duty to assist you. The CA on duty phone number is posted throughout your residence hall.
Lost Your Key?
If you lost your key you will need to go to the Key’Osk and state to the Desk Assistant that you lost your key. They will issue you a spare key until a lock change is put in place. Lock changes cost $25 for soft keys (Townhouses East and West) and $50 for hard keys (All Other Residence Halls). It is billed to the student account of the resident who lost the key.
Once the lock change occurs, you will receive a notice to pick up your new room key (within 24-48 business hours). If you have a roommate or live in the Apartments, then each resident will have to stop by the Key’Osk to pick up their new room key.
Live in Townhouses and Lost Your ID?
If you live in Townhouse East, West, or South and lost your ID, you will need a front door key to enter your townhouse. Head over to the Key’Osk and ask the Desk Assistant for a front door key to your townhouse. Let the Desk Assistant know if you need the key longer than 24 hours since you would need to buy a new TCNJ ID.
Lost Your TCNJ ID?
If you lost your TCNJ ID, you can go to the Office of Student Accounts in Green Hall 119- Monday-Friday 8:30-4:30pm to purchase a new ID for $10. If you live in a residence hall, you will need to then stop by the Key’Osk to obtain a residence hall sticker for your respective building.
Room Changes
If you are approved for a room change during academic year, then you can come to the Key’Osk for your new room key. You have 72 hours to move from your former room to your new room and will have access to both keys. Once you are done moving out/in, return your original room key to the Key’Osk. If you do not return your old room key, you may be charged for a lock change.
