About Us

The Department of Residential Education and Housing provides a wide variety of services aimed at developing the personal, social and academic life of each residential student and opportunities for all on-campus students to become an integral part of a diverse community and grow through their common experiences.

Through all of these efforts the residence halls are more than “places to live” (or “dorms”) – they are centers for educational living and learning in which all students are encouraged to develop and participate in programming that is beneficial to the betterment of the College and the greater community.

Staff Commitment to the Residential Community:

We strive to foster a respectful, inclusive, and engaged community that is centered on each member’s life experiences and expression of personal identities through advocacy, integration, holistic education, and reflection.

The Department of Residential Education and Housing provides housing for undergraduate degree seeking (bachelor and select specialized 5 year programs) students that are at least 16 years of age at the time of enrollment. Housing is guaranteed for the freshman and sophomore year.  All others are awarded housing based on availability. Students eligible for guaranteed housing under this policy must be full-time first year students who are entering housing in the fall semester or current residential freshman who are returning for the sophomore year (other conditions may apply). Please refer to the Apply for Housing link for specific information regarding who is eligible for housing on-campus.
