Students who sign a housing contract for any period of time during the 2022-2023 academic year but seek to be released from the contract will be subject to the proposed contract release fee schedule listed below.

Students will be permitted to cancel the “Residence Hall and Dining Services Contract Fall 2022 – Spring 2023” for any reason through July 31, 2022. Requests made after July 31 will be reviewed in accordance to the contract release process. Please note that submission of a contract release request for financial and medical reasons before or after moving in does not ensure that a release will be granted.

Unless otherwise notified the contract will be for the entire academic year and the only consideration for a release for Spring 2023 would be in accordance with the contract release process.
BOARD PLAN REFUND SCHEDULE
Students on an A La Carte board plan will receive a refund that is based on the actual usage of the meal plan points, so long as the semester has not yet concluded. Any points that are unspent after the conclusion of the semester are non-refundable. For example, if you are released from your housing contract mid semester and have 375 points remaining, you will receive a board refund of $375. However, if you are released from your housing contract in January for the spring semester only, you will not receive a refund for the remaining points from your fall meal plan.
Students on the Meals Per Week plan will be refunded at a weekly rate for each week not in residence. For example, if you are released from your housing contract 3 weeks in to the fall semester and have 150 points remaining, you will receive a refund for the cost of the remaining weeks as well as the value of your unspent points. However, if you are released from your housing contract in January for the spring semester only, you will not receive a refund for your fall semester’s unspent points.
